I setup a dual boot of Windows 7, the other (Ulitmate) was 64 bit, just like the OEM partition is. I have connected the printer back to the old computer with Win XP and it works fine.

PCI Serial Port doesn't have a driver - not fixed I ran troubleshooting from "Hardware and Devices" and got several error messages: Print processor is set to "winprint" and default data type is "RAW (NT EMF 1.008)." I installed a Parallel PCI Card and used a Centronics-to-USB and that didn't work with all varieties of file types. I was using the Centronics-to-PCI-25 and that didn't work. "Devices and printers" says "A print job in the print queue is preventing other print jobs from printing" and declares the problem to be "fixed" (It ain't). Sending a job to the printer resulted in an error message. I Found the printer driver in Win7 and "devices and printers" recognized it. One exception: My old H-P LaserJet 6P printer. Since I changed over to Win7, I have been able to get almost and software and hardware to work.
